Just friggin listen to it and get the vibe and feel. The original's damn nice with the electric violins and keyboards, not a fan of the revised co version though.

You know you're a sheng player when:

1. You actually know what a sheng is.

2. You see the question mark look on people's faces when u tell them that you play the sheng.

3. You try describing a sheng to them, but all that comes out of your mouth is: errr its an instrument with many pipes, and then u blow and the sound comes out........ er, er, er.

4. You subconsciously like to sing chords instead of the melody.

5. You know the fingering to all those chinese new year songs they play at shopping malls during CNY.

6. YOU ARE HAPPY WHEN U WATCH LITTLE BIG SOLDIER CUZ THE ONLY BACKGROUND MUSIC IN THE MOVIE CONSISTS OF THE SHENG.

7. You are used to pouring saliva out of the sheng (and even use ur saliva to water the grass)

8. (di/zhong sheng) YOU ARE THE ONLY INSTRU ALLOWED TO BRING PU ON STAGE(!!!!!!!!!!!)

9. You just cannot shut up - in dazu, in xiaozu, and everywhere else.

10. You are anti-social.
